Primary Skills:	Performs various types of microbiological testing under minimal or no supervision. Evaluates and reports data.
Secondary Skills:	Education: BS or Associates Degree in the biological sciences.
Description:	1. Identifies and records, in appropriate logbook, samples received for microbial analysis. 2. Performs microbial content testing on raw materials, and bulk and finished products, per USP, in-house or customer methods. Evaluates and records data. 3. Performs bioburden testing on pre-sterilized bulk product and/or components. Evaluates and records data. 4. Performs analysis of water samples and environmental samples. Evaluates and records data. 5. Performs quality control testing of media, reagents and identification materials. 6. Maintains adequate inventory of media and materials required for testing. 7. Notifies laboratory supervisor, or designee, when out-of-specification results are obtained, and completes appropriate documentation. Experience: Four years of relevant experience with an Associates degree.
