| Description: |
FUNCTION: Performs all tasks associated
with the manufacturing of batches as per steps outlined in detailed
manufacturing records. Also aids the maintenance of systems
associated with the Sterile Operations Area.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Sets up and operates Sterile
Operations processing equipment.
2. Cleans and sterilizes process
equipment, as needed, and completes associated paperwork and
documentation.
3. Maintains chemical inventory, check chemicals
and manufactures batches as per steps outlined in detailed
manufacturing records.
4. Performs filter integrity testing
for all applications as required.
5. Cleans batching area as per
standard operating procedures.
6. Assists in the cleaning of
various processing equipment, as needed.
7. Maintains the water
system in the sterile operations department. This includes sampling,
still operation and
water production, maintenance of the UF
system and condensate sampling.
8. Monitors boilers in
department, if licensed.
9. Performs daily, weekly and monthly
checks on systems in the Sterile Operations area as per SOP s while
maintaining proper documentation.
10. Maintains proper
record keeping, logs and documentation as required for compliance
with cGMP s.
11.Performs training of compounder's helpers and
new trainees as needed.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. College
courses a plus.
Experience: 2-3 years of compounding or bulk
manufacturing experience in a pharmaceutical environment.
Familiarity with batch processing and knowledge of chemicals is
preferred. Experience in working in clean room conditions and
knowledge of cGMP s is preferred. Must be able to work with minimal
supervision, read and write English and have basic math skills. Some
lifting and movement of weighted articles is required.
